Cookie policy

Cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser's local storage) store or read information on your device. This page explains which ones tikrift.com uses.

tikrift.com uses two technical first-party cookies: tr_lang, which remembers the language you choose in the language selector (only set if you choose a language; lasts 1 year), and tr_consent, which remembers whether you accepted or rejected the optional statistics (lasts 6 months). They are necessary to remember your choice, so they require no consent.

The website is served by Cloudflare. Only if its protection system triggers a security challenge (for example, on suspicious traffic) may it set these strictly necessary cookies:

• __cf_bm (Cloudflare): tells people apart from bots and protects the site against abuse. Duration: 30 minutes.
• cf_clearance (Cloudflare): remembers that you passed a security challenge so you are not asked again. Duration: the challenge passage lifetime (30 minutes by default, configurable up to 1 year).

We measure visits in aggregate with Cloudflare Web Analytics. According to Cloudflare's documentation, it does not use cookies or local storage and does not use fingerprinting to identify or track visitors. To do this the page loads a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which sends aggregate visit data (page, referring site, country, device type and performance) to Cloudflare. More details in the privacy policy.

If you click "Accept" in the cookie notice, we load PostHog (PostHog, Inc.; data in PostHog Cloud EU, Frankfurt, Germany) to measure the pages visited, the referring site (including AI assistants), the language and clicks on download links. PostHog stores the cookie ph_phc_…_posthog (analytics, by PostHog) with a random identifier; it lasts 1 year. It also uses the browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. There is no advertising or session recording. Basis: your consent. If you click "Reject", do not answer or your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", nothing is loaded and no PostHog cookie is stored. You can change your choice whenever you like from "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page; when you withdraw consent we delete the PostHog cookies and data. You can delete tikrift.com's cookies and local storage at any time from your browser's privacy settings (clear browsing data, or the data of a specific site). If you delete tr_lang, the home page will again pick the language from your browser settings.
