# About TikRift

TikRift is a Windows desktop app that adds widgets and overlays to TikTok LIVE streams: gift alerts, goals, leaderboards and LIVE events. Each widget has its own URL, which you add in TikTok LIVE Studio as a link source or in OBS as a browser source.

## Who makes it

TikRift is made by [Matías González (MattsinLife)](https://tikrift.com/en/author/matias-gonzalez/), a TikTok streamer, to solve what he needed in his own streams. He has been streaming since 2018: he started on YouTube, moved on to Facebook Gaming, and today he goes LIVE on TikTok.

## How the guides are written

The [TikRift guides](https://tikrift.com/en/guides/) are written by Matías and come from what he uses in his own streams: alerts, goals, leaderboards and overlays. Each guide shows when it was last updated.

## Independence

TikRift is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by TikTok or ByteDance. TikTok is mentioned only to describe compatibility.
